Yoga to Create Length is a class designed to keep the natural curves in our spine. It’s better not to over-exaggerate the curve in the lower back or to pop our rib cage out. It’s best to create length as we balance these areas. The body will go into the “path of least resistance.” So, if the shoulders are tight, when we raise the arms up by the ears, the low back will over-arch and the front ribs will puff out. If this happens consistently, there is a chance of injury to the lower back. This class is designed to counter that tendency so that we can keep our lower back safe.
