Child’s Pose is comforting, and a great pose to do when you need to pause in the middle of your practice.

  1. Kneel on your mat, sitting up nice and tall.
  2. Move your knees apart ever so slightly until your knees are in line with your hips.
  3. Exhale, fold forward, bending at the waist, and reach your arms straight out ahead.
  4. Lift the base of your skull away from your neck slightly, and reach down to the earth with your tailbone.
  5. Breathe.

As you sink into Child’s Pose, take a moment to turn your perspective inward. Taking some time to connect to your inner energy and enjoying this space as you become replenished will help you with the rest of your practice. After a few minutes, walk your hands in, sit up and smile.
