prAna's 2016 Collection

For prAna’s new Spring and Summer 2016 collection, designers were challenged to pack for a trip of inspiration carrying only one bag, helping them see that less is more when gearing up for a weekend getaway.

prAna clothing and gear is made with intention. Every detail—from trim, to fabric, and hangtags—is carefully designed to enhance our lives today while considering the needs of tomorrow. Since 1993, this vision has been at the root of prAna’s relationships with its partners, customers and retailers.

“It seems that in our rush to get away from it all, we grab everything we can and take it with us,” said Ellen Krimmel, prAna’s VP of design and merchandising. “Half the time, you never use what you pack or wish you’d had something else. But it doesn’t have to be like that. The knowledge that we can experience more with less without compromising performance or good looks inspired us to follow what we consider our north star: versatility. From swim to yoga-wear, pants to accessories, our consciously-sourced and timeless styles are now more usable, wearable and re-wearable than ever.”

prAna apparel is designed to travel. Each piece’s blend of technical fabrics and fashion-forward designs give them the versatility to go from the high-street shops to the lowland trails without missing a beat. For men, the new Zioneer Pant is designed for adventurous customers who prefer one pair of bottoms to do everything they want.

Its traditional styling includes five pockets and a standard fit that looks effortlessly timeless. But a closer look reveals thoughtful details to let Zioneer do more: water repellant, abrasion resistant Stretch Zion fabric; ventilated inseam gusset; and even roll-up leg snaps. Drawing from urban influences, the women’s Brenna Pant is an edgy, slim-fitting moto five-pocket style with heavy stitch details at the knees and on the back pocket. Its synthetic, bluesign® certified fabric with quick drying, four-way stretch moves with you on the pavement or off the beaten path and is available in three color-ways.

prAna remains committed to using sustainable materials and weaving sustainable practices into its operations and offerings keeping to the highest standards. That’s why in 2016, prAna is introducing more clothing with conscience than ever, including the men’s Broderick Slim. This short-sleeved button-down is made from 100% organic cotton, and it’s styled with a slim, attractive fit that goes where you go. For women, prAna is introducing the Andie Top, made with a blend of recycled polyester and spandex that is also bluesign® certified—the toughest chemical safety standards in the world. Its attractive scoop neck and relaxed fit, paired with its racer-back and fitted hemline, makes it beautiful on its own or as a colorful layer.

“With the right pieces we can easily do everything we want, with the freedom to slow down, focus, and enjoy the journey—we design our clothing to meet that need,” said Krimmel. “Each style’s fit, fabric and flexibility allows it to flow from one activity to another and look good all the while. By using materials and partnering with companies and factories that adhere to strict guidelines for safety and efficacy, we’re able to make beautiful and functional products we love, in a way that we can all feel good about.”

prAna clothing is designed in Southern California with style and versatility in mind. prAna is deeply committed to mitigating the impact it has on the environment. From factory to finish, the company works to ensure its clothing and products are made and delivered in safe, fair working conditions.
