Thanks to the power of technology, it’s easier than ever to learn yoga. Talented, dedicated, and creative yoga teachers put together amazing free videos to help you bring yoga into your home.
But for all of those who create really awesome videos, there are some really dreadful videos as well. Here at 42Yogis we know how frustrating it can be to sit and sift through YouTube looking for high quality yoga videos that you haven’t seen yet. That’s why we curate our video library of only the best yoga videos.
This was the first year 42Yogis has been online, and it has been an amazingly successful one. The yoga videos in our library have seen tons of love. But there are some that saw more love than others.
Here are the 20 most popular videos here on 42Yogis.com for 2014. It’s interesting to note how much this list has changed since the one I published earlier this year.
20. Plank with Adriene
Plank is a foundational pose in every yoga practice, and I’m not surprised at all to see Adriene’s Plank video make the top 20. Adriene is a great teacher and she takes her time explaining in her videos.
19. One Love Creative Flow with Becca Pati
The lovely Becca Pati takes 9th place with her One Love Creative Flow video. This video is a great creative vinyasa flow that opens up your hips, shoulders, and heart.
18. Post Run Cool Down with Malia Hilliard
Runners are recognizing the power of yoga to enhance their runs and keep their legs healthy. Malia Hilliard’s Post Run Cool Down video made the list at number 18 thanks to runners wanting to protect their legs.
17. Warrior III with Adriene
Austin based yoga teacher Adriene took number 17 with her Warrior III video, which fell 10 places from its number 7 slot earlier in the year.
16. Advanced Inversion Flow with Tara Stiles
Advanced yogis really enjoyed Tara’s Advanced Inversion Flow video, but it still fell from number 8 to number 16 in favour if Nichi Green’s headstand variations. If inversions are your thing, you’ll enjoy this video.
15. Beginner’s Power Vinyasa with Ali Kamenova
This awesome video from Ali Kamenova comes in 15th on our list, down 5 places from 10 just a few short months ago. This beginner’s power yoga class is an intense calorie burner! Keep it up for a few weeks, and you’ll feel great. This class is designed to prepare you for higher level power yoga classes.
14. 20 Minute Beginner’s Class by Yoga Vidya
There are a lot of beginner’s yoga class videos out there, but not many are as good as this video by Yoga Vidya. This 20 minute introductory class comes in at number 14.
13. 20 Minute Yoga Class for Relaxation with Colleen Saidman Yee
Everybody needs some relaxation in their lives, and everybody needs some relaxation in their yoga practice. We can’t do nothing but vinyasas all the time and not take some time to relax and meditate. This yoga relaxation video from Colleen Saidman Yee is designed to fill that gap.
12. Shoulder Stretch with Kino MacGregor
This gentle, yet intense, shoulder stretch video is a great way to open up your shoulders. I do this exercise almost every single day because my shoulders and upper back is where a lot of my stress ends up. Try it. You’ll thank me (and Kino) later for the suggestion!
11. Downward Dog with Gigi Yogini
Downward Dog is an amazing pose, and is my default resting pose. I would argue that a good Down Dog is the cornerstone of every yoga practice. Gigi Yogini explains Down Dog very well in her video which comes in at number 11.
10. Yoga for Runners with Maria de Noda
Maria de Noda’s yoga for runners is a leg-focused yoga flow that stretches out your legs for before or after your run. If running is your thing, this video is for you.
9. 45 Minute Vinyasa Flow with Lesley Fightmaster

8. 7 Headstand Variations with Nichi Green
Our collective love for inversions shows with Nichi Green’s headstand variations video coming in at number 8. Nichi is part of the awesome Ekhart Yoga family, and explains fun ways to change up your headstands.
7. Advanced Practice with Yogi Nora
Yogi Nora’s Advanced Practice fell from 5 to 7, but still made the top 10 thanks to all the advanced yogis here on 42Yogis.com. Give it a go if you’re a level 3 yogi.
6. Manifestation Flow with Dashama
Sometimes we all need to manifest a little good, kindness, and prosperity in our lives. Because of this, it’s no surprise that the lovely Dashama comes in 2nd place with her Manifestation Flow.
5. Wide Legged Standing Forward Bend with Francesca Giusti
I was surprised to see Wide Legged Standing Forward Bend come in at number 5, but this simple video from the Ekhart Yoga family is very useful and instructional. Check it out, and you’ll learn the proper alignment.

Lesley Fightmaster held steady at 3rd place with her awesome Yin Yoga video. Yin Yoga is becoming more and more popular, but it’s hard to find such high quality videos as Lesley Fightmaster’s.
2. Star Wars Yoga for Beginners
Earlier in the year Star Wars Yoga took the number one spot, and it’s held steady only falling to number 2! I should’ve known there are geeky yogis out there. And really…who doesn’t love Star Wars?
1. Morning Wake-up/Evening Energy Boost Yoga Routine with Tara Carpino
Earlier in the year Tara Carpino’s energy boosting yoga video didn’t even make the top 10, and now it has skyrocketed to number one. And for good reason. This is a fabulous video that will wake you up and get your blood flowing.
