3 WORST Mistakes in Crow Pose & What to Do About Them | Beginner-Friendly Yoga Tips
Crow Pose (Bakasana), can feel challenging when you’re first learning it. In this tutorial, I’m sharing 3 common mistakes I see people make in Crow Pose and what you can do instead to help make the pose feel stronger, more stable, and more supportive. And most likely, number 1 is the reason you keep falling!
My 3 Best Tips:
3️⃣ Trust the Forward Lean
Don’t be afraid to shift your weight forward because Crow Pose requires you to move your center of gravity over your hands to create balance and lift your feet.
2️⃣ Never Rush Into Crow Pose
Slow, controlled transitions give you time to find your balance and create the strength and body awareness needed to feel supported in the pose.
1️⃣ Never Look Straight Down
We tend to go where our gaze goes, so looking straight down can shift your weight backward and make it much harder to find your balance.
After watching this tutorial, give these tips a try. Notice any subtle differences and see which adjustments feel the most supportive for you. For me, incorporating all 3 of these tips is what makes Crow Pose feel really strong and supportive in my body. Let me know if you find the same to be true for you! I can’t wait to see how these simple adjustments transform your Crow Pose.
