Day 11 of My Yoga Journey | February Yoga Reflection
After two hectic yet joyful days of celebration, I woke up feeling exhausted. My back was sore from all the time spent on my feet decorating and preparing, and my body was asking for rest. Learning to listen to my body, I chose to take it easy, focus on work during the day, and practice yoga before bedtime—allowing my muscles to relax and recover.
To support my body’s needs, I selected a calming Yin Yoga session by Yoga with Kassandra (https://youtu.be/rD3B5q9FMH0?si=PT92Any3cCliFgA2), a practice that gently targets the connective tissues and fascia, encouraging deep relaxation. Holding each pose for 2–3 minutes, I allowed my body to soften into the stretches without forcing anything, letting the tension gradually melt away.
Practice Highlights:
Reclined Butterfly Pose – Opened the hips and eased lower back tension
Banana Pose – Stretched the side body and released tightness in the spine
Reclined Pigeon Pose – Helped loosen the hips while keeping the practice gentle
Half Happy Baby Pose – Released tension in the lower back and hips
Deep Breaths with Om Chanting – Ended the session with grounding breathwork
Tonight, I also took extra care of my shoulders especially the left shoulder, opting for gentler poses since my frozen shoulder was feeling more sensitive. This journey has truly deepened my understanding of my body’s signals, teaching me to honor its needs rather than push through discomfort.
🧘️ Personal Affirmation: “I did my best today, and that’s enough.”
Even on days when energy is low, I am grateful for the ability to slow down, listen, and move in a way that supports my well-being. Yoga isn’t just about effort; it’s about balance, and tonight was a beautiful reminder of that.
Excited to continue this journey of self-discovery, one breath at a time. #TheYogaChallenge #FebruaryYogaChallenge
