FitStar, Inc., a digital health and fitness company dedicated to creating accessible and personalized workout apps to motivate people to live healthy lives, has revealed the next product on its platform will be FitStar Yoga, featuring Tara Stiles.

FitStar Yoga will be released on iPhone, iPad and iPod touch this fall. In sessions led by yoga legend Tara Stiles, the new yoga app will feature customized video-based programs suitable for any body, from beginner to expert.

Built on the innovative technology behind FitStar’s successful first app, FitStar Personal Trainer, FitStar Yoga will let people of all experience levels bring their yoga teacher everywhere, with adaptive, bespoke sessions designed to build flexibility, gain strength and reduce stress for anyone, anytime, anywhere.

Tara Stiles, founder and owner of Strala Yoga, with currently over 1,000 instructors leading classes globally, has evolved yoga and wellness to be approachable and fun for millions.

Best selling author, Tara has been profiled by The New York Times, Times of India, The Times (UK), and featured in many major national and international magazines. Tara is also an avid supporter of The Alliance for a Healthier Generation, promoting a healthy lifestyle in over 22,000 schools.

“We share a mission of inspiring people to live healthier lives,” said Tara Stiles of the partnership with FitStar. “The genius of FitStar Yoga is that it allows for a highly effective and comprehensive yoga experience that’s flexible and accessible.”

“With more than 250 million people practicing yoga around the world, FitStar Yoga was a natural next step for us following the remarkable response to FitStar Personal Trainer,” said Mike Maser, CEO of FitStar. “We’re excited to collaborate with Tara Stiles in our effort to put millions of people on a path to improved well-being.”

Maser tells Digital Trends according to FitStar’s findings there are three main reasons why people don’t take up yoga: the cost, lack of convenience, and the intimidation factor.

FitStar’s debut product, FitStar Personal Trainer, featuring NFL superstar Tony Gonzalez released in June 2013 to critical and commercial success. With users in more than 150 countries, FitStar Personal Trainer surged past 1 million downloads earlier this year. The app has been consistently rated 5 stars in the App Store and is the recipient of both coveted Best of 2013 Award, and an Apple Editor’s Choice Award.
