I spend a lot of time looking at yoga things for 42Yogis, and I’ve seen the yoga wheel, but I never ventured into actually using one, so when the YogDev Yoga Wheel arrived I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect. It took a little getting used to, but once I did, I was in love.
The wheel I’m using is mint green and pink, but comes in a other colour combinations, including White and Grey, Green and Taffy Pink, and Black and Green.
This yoga wheel single handedly saved my back this month. While I am a yoga teacher, most of my business is online, so I do spend a lot of time every day in front of a computer…especially in the last two months of the year when I’m planning for the year to come. Between sitting at my computer and all the travel I’ve done this year, my back has been a little tight…even though I do a lot of yoga.
Made by YogDev; a company that makes yoga mats and towels in addition to wheels, this Yoga Wheel is a strong PVC wheel with a cushy covering. It’s 12” in diameter and made by injection molding (which is good for improving strength and durability), and has a thick mat-like covering that provides comfort.
The benefits of using a Yoga Wheel include:

My favourites are bridge, and double pigeon. Within the first 30 minutes of using the YogDev Yoga Wheel the tightness in my back was gone. I’m completely hooked. I have no doubt that the YogDev Yoga Wheel will change your relationship with your back.

I now leave the wheel near my desk, and I take a minute throughout the day to do a couple poses. This yoga wheel is a must have for yogis who are looking to take their practice to new and fun levels, while also creating a kinder relationship with their body.
