San Diego based YOGA SIX (Y6) expands its footprint in the Chicago area with the opening of a 3rd studio in the Gold Coast neighborhood. YOGA SIX Gold Coast will open on May 28th (previously scheduled for May 18th) and is offering free classes through June 14th.
YOGA SIX Gold Coast is the 8th national location for the growing yoga company, which entered the Chicago market in 2014 with studios in the Lincoln Park and South Loop neighborhoods. A 4th Chicago studio in the River North neighborhood is scheduled to open later this year.
Perched on the 2nd floor of the historic 1150 North State Building, the vibe in the 6,600+ square foot space is modern, energizing and welcoming. Students will enjoy 3 sizable practice rooms, a community hub and luxe-appointed locker rooms with showers and towel service. The YOGA SIX retail boutique carries the latest in active lifestyle clothing and gear from brands like Manduka, Onzie, Beyond Yoga, Alo and more.
“It’s exciting,” said YOGA SIX CEO, Dan Farris. “We’re adding multiple locations throughout the Midwest this year and Chicago is at the center of it all. Boutique fitness, and specifically high quality yoga classes, are in heavy demand. Our program offering and studio experience bring something unique to the table.”
YOGA SIX’s thoughtful, modern approach to yoga is rooted in science and drives real results. By focusing on the innate intelligence of the body, Y6 teachers guide students toward a stronger and more whole self. The Gold Coast studio will feature a broad range of heated and non-heated yoga classes, along with bootcamp style fitness classes. Specialty workshops and meditation sessions complete the weekly schedule, which will offer 100+ classes per week when the studio opens. YOGA SIX Gold Coast will host its first 200-hour Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training in September.
