This week’s practice fulfills a student request, (and also gave me some time to decompress). We often think of digestion as a process involving what goes in our mouth – but we digest everything that comes in through all of our senses. Yin yoga is the perfect slow down when we feel overstimulated and can bring us into the parasympathetic mode which enhances digestion. Before settling into stillness in each yin pose, we do some gentle movements.
