Detox with a probiotic juice cleanse

Juice cleanses are a popular detoxing and weight loss tool, and the trend has been sweeping the nation. Celebrities like Clinton Kelly, Jared Leto, and Salma Hayak have all tried cleanses, encouraging the growth of the trend.

Companies like Urban Remedy, Blue Print, and many others are making a name for themselves with their popular juices.

La Vie Wellness in Soquel, CA has taken it one step further, and raised the bar with a cleanse built on probiotics — the healthy bacteria found in fermented foods like yogurt, kombucha, and kefir.

A 2011 Yale study concluded that probiotics can be effective for treating conditions like colitis, diarrhea, eczema, Crohn’s disease, and Irritable Bowel Syndrome, as well as overall support of the digestive and immune system.

“Since 80 percent of your immune system is located in your digestive tract, we wanted to create a cleanse that supports digestive health,” says company founder Yeyen Gunawan. “Our customers who struggled with low calorie cleanses have reported that the addition of probiotics made their cleanse process easier and more effective. That’s a game-changer.”

Gunawan discovered the power of probiotics during her stint as a competitive swimmer. “As an athlete, I found that raw foods and cleanses gave me the power I needed to compete,” she says. “But adding probiotic drinks made me lose weight and cleared up my skin so quickly that I devoted my life to helping others discover the power of these drinks.”

Now that customers in California, Nevada, and Arizona can buy online at drinklavie.com, Gunawan expects the cleanse line to grow even faster. “Once people try a cleanse with probiotics, they never go back,” she says. “It’s that effective.”
