Welcome to Gentle January Yoga for Beginners Week 1— a slow, supportive, and beginner-friendly yoga class designed for anyone who is new to yoga, returning after a break, or looking for a gentle, relaxing practice at home.

This is the first class in a weekly beginner yoga series, uploaded every Friday in January. You do not need any prior yoga experience — I walk you through each pose step by step, with clear alignment cues and gentle modifications so you can feel confident and safe on your mat.

• Beginner-friendly stretches for hips, back, and shoulders
