How to do yoga twists | Yoga twist poses and how to do them

Welcome to Free Yoga Club, Yoga Shorts. Yoga Shorts are quick videos to teach you a yoga pose, share a yoga concept or show you how yoga can help improve the quality of your life.

This yoga short is about how to do various yoga twist poses. I demonstrate and teach a seated yoga twist.

A beginner in yoga will appreciate the step by step hatha yoga tutorial to help beginners explore variations on twisted yoga practices.

Twisting postures have many benefits for purification, digestion, detoxification and spine strengthen, and abdominal detox.

With an advanced spinal injury, you might not want to do this yoga pose.

This short class sequence can be done with a prop like a yoga blanket or block. It is good to go slow and be gentle to avoid the mistake of the shoulder push. Do this in the morning to get your digestive system moving.

Doing half or ardha yoga twist pose is one of three ways to do this yoga twist pose. You can also benefit from doing a yoga twist pose while lying on your back. This reclined yoga twist pose is called supine yoga twist.

Begin the training by lifting the top of your head as high as possible. In this series or variation routine, I suggest three deep breaths.

For an advanced yoga twist or yoga asana take more time, as much as a minute to get the most from a yoga twist pose. If you go to an ashram you will do many yoga twist poses.

For a modified yoga twist try sitting on a chair. You might move your legs into a lunge if you have tight hips.
