This yoga practice can be very beneficial to people suffering from anxiety, OCD, depression, stress, etc. Yoga is not meant to be a substitute for your medical treatment but rather a modality that can be helpful in your healing path. Focus on your breath. Bring your awareness to the body. We will work on standing poses in order to get grounded and deepen the breath. We will do twists and heart openers. Heart openers can help activate the heart and quiet an overactive mind. We will strengthen the core which is extremely beneficial for people with gut issues. Gut issues have been linked to anxiety. Core strength. Deepening our connection to the core is essential in becoming centered. A strong core can help us deepen our breath. Always step slightly outside of your comfort one and flow with strength and ease. We will finish with mula bandha and pelvic floor strengthening.
Come back to this class a couple of times a week in order to experience best results. Repeating the class over time will allow you to build a strong core and a graceful practice. We will do some hip openers
