If this practice helped, The Calm Path is 12 free weeks built the same way, and every week ends with yoga nidra. Starts November 2: https://www.thecalmlab.org/calm-path
Exhausted but still can’t switch off? This 25-minute trauma-informed yoga nidra helps a wired, tired nervous system finally stand down.
That tired-but-wired feeling isn’t a flaw in you. It’s a nervous system that’s been on duty too long. In this practice we orient to safety, use the physiological sigh and long exhales to calm fight-or-flight, let leftover restless energy settle, and rest deeply, with your eyes open or closed, always at your own pace.
Part 1 of The Stress Responses, a three-part nervous system series:
Part 1: Wired but exhausted (for settling)
Part 2: Numb and shut down (for thawing), coming soon
Part 3: Can’t rest until everyone’s okay (for receiving), coming soon
In this practice:
– Orienting to safety and finding your anchor
– Physiological sighs and 4-6 breathing for the vagus nerve
– Sankalpa: “I am allowed to stand down”
– Full body scan (yoga nidra rotation of consciousness)
– Storm-to-stillness visualization to release restless energy
– Deep rest and a gentle return
Use it as an afternoon reset (non sleep deep rest / NSDR), after a stressful day, or before bed.
If this helped, subscribe for a new yoga nidra every week.
